Starting January 1st, 2025, all newly registered puppies must be microchipped by an approved veterinarian before pedigree documents can be issued. This requirement aligns CAU with the FCI international standards on permanent identification of purebred dogs. Owners are advised to contact CAU-approved vets for the procedure. A list of approved veterinarians will be published on the CAU website.
